Master of Occupational Therapy Practice and Bachelor of Applied Science (HZHOT)
Casey is a fully qualified practicing Occupational Therapist recognised by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as well as a member of Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA). Casey is a warm and nurturing practitioner who uses her passion for high quality care and goal directed learning within the social model of practice to set and work towards personal and meaningful goals with her clients.
Casey has a wealth of experience within the NDIS framework and has worked with individuals of all ages and varying diagnoses. From her breadth of experience, Casey has found a unique passion for helping children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other learning challenges. By implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies, Casey supports her clients in gaining independence in their daily occupations.
Casey prefers the use of the social model of practice, which aims to bring an understanding of the diagnosis to the client and their support network in order to allow for the accommodation of the disability within their regular environments. This often involves the collaboration of the participant with their family, friends, and other key stakeholders to provide holistic changes to lifestyle in order to achieve independence and progress towards both short and long-term goals.
