Clinical Psychologist Dr Emma Dunlop

Dr Emma Dunlop is a registered clinical psychologist and has completed undergraduate psychology studies and a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Monash University. She has spent most of her career in public mental health services, supporting people experiencing long-standing and complex challenges. She has also worked across medical wards in hospital settings, including a sleep disorders clinic.

Emma takes a collaborative, warm, and trauma-informed approach, tailoring therapy to each person’s goals. She works alongside clients to support meaningful change and personal recovery. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for post-traumatic stress disorder, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). She also draws from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy.

She offers support for individuals experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, low mood, difficulty with regulating emotions, and body image concerns. Emma is committed to providing a safe, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ clients.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys various forms of dance, spending time in nature, and making art.
